- For many its just a school but for me... its a dream. I really have dreamed about going to a historical black university ever since i knew college existed. i love the idea of embracing my culture and understanding my heritage from people who actually understand me. i love being black and feel like i have been expose to many different ethnic groups living in new york city but know i just wanna be surrounded by my own kind. howard has been my dream school because i feel it is a prestiege school that caters to africa americans. Having many struggles in the past for common rights and the rights to an education makes me appreciate the oppurtunities that howard university gives. African americans are able to get a excellent education in diffferent fields such as business, phycology, marketing, ect. i actually visited the campus over the summer and just feel in love with the atmosphere. the cultural dancing and sing from the people excited me. i want to join a sorority and expirence life at howard.
